Skin Cancer

Skin Cancer

Skin cancer — the abnormal growth of skin cells — most often develops on skin exposed to the sun. But this common form of cancer can also occur on areas of your skin not ordinarily exposed to sunlight. There are three major types of skin cancer — basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma. Most skin cancers are caused by exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. When you don't protect your skin, UV rays from sunlight or tanning beds can damage your skin's DNA. When the DNA is altered, it can't properly control skin cell growth, leading to cancer. A number of things can raise your chances of getting it.

There are three major types of skin cancers: basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and melanoma. The first two skin cancers are grouped together as non-melanoma skin cancers. Other unusual types of skin cancer include Merkel cell tumors and dermatofibrosarcoma protruberans.

Homeopathy is a medical system which has been in use over 200 years developed by German physician Dr Samuel Hahnemann based on the belief that the body can cure itself. Those who practice it use tiny amounts of natural substances, like plants and minerals. They believe these stimulate the healing process. This is also mentioned in ancient Hindu manuscripts.
